This U.S. Army film was made after the end of World War II. Soldiers who now occupied Germany had to watch it.
Viewed in the context of 21st century hindsight, we can definitely tell it's propaganda. But viewed through the lens of 1946, when the world had been through two devastating world wars, it looks slightly different.

I wonder how this would have played if they had done the same video about Iraqis? I'm betting there would have been riots at our finest universities and coffee shops.
It's probably worth noting that at the time this video was made, there were some in the government who were seriously thinking of de-industrialising Germany, which they estimated would have caused a huge chunk of the population to starve.
